YOUR TRIP SUMMARY:
TWO NIGHTS at the Hot Springs State Park, which is located only minutes away from your adventure with dinosaurs and next door to a huge water slide. This hotel also boasts balcony rooms overlooking a mineral hot springs pool. You can relax, soak and steam in the hot mineral waters and enjoy a short and colorful walk to the main source of the springs. Continental breakfast, a friendly staff and beautifully appointed western rooms welcome you to a Wyoming paradise often missed by most tourists.
DINOSAUR DIG included in your package, is known for some of the largest dinosaur fossil quarries in the world, these fossil-bearing beds overlook the picturesque red hills at the northern end of the Wind River Canyon. Discover, collect, and document Jurassic fossils with paleo-technicians as they uncover dinosaurs such as Allosaurus, Apatosaurus, Camarasaurus and Diplodocus. As a participant, you help with current scientific research designed to provide valuable information about the environment in which dinosaurs lived about 145 million years ago. You gain hands-on experience at current sites and participate in fossil stabilization and excavation, quarry mapping, and documentation. All activities are designed to assist in current scientific research projects. Experienced staff are on hand to answer questions and provide assistance. A sack lunch will be provided, as will all the materials needed. You will also be treated to a tour through the museum and the opportunity to clean and prepare bones evacuated from your site.
TWO NIGHTS at an All-Inclusive Guest Ranch in the middle of the Shoshone National Forest, which offers visitors a genuine slice of Western life. During your two nights, you will stay in a clean and comfortable ranch cabin complete with western decor and an outdoor porch for relaxing. Help yourself to a hearty ranch breakfast, and then choose your trusty steed for a morning of trail riding with a cookout lunch. From horseback, you will see spectacular of Wyoming landscapes and will never forget the panoramic beauty seen from high mountain passes. A bit of trout fishing and a well-earned nap might round out your day. The kids can hang out on the playground or in the game room. After a gourmet dinner, it's on to an evening of entertainment or ghost stories around the campfire.
CHUCKWAGON COOKOUT & WESTERN SHOW will bring you back to the 1800's as you climb aboard a covered wagon and ride to an outdoor dining room on the bank of a clear mountain stream in beautiful Cache Creek Canyon. Eat your fill of mouth-watering roast beef, scrumptuous barbecued chicken, corn on the cob, Dutch oven baked beans, fresh green salad, rolls, coffee, lemonade and brownies. Top off your evening whoopin' it up with the singing Cowboys, Indians and Mountain Man. One of our most popular activities!
TWO NIGHTS in the Grand Tetons NP. For those who crave ultimate mountain scenery, nothing surpasses the awe-inspiring views from the front porch of a cabin surrounded by one of the most beautiful settings in the world, the Teton Mountain Range. Enjoy the comforts of home and experience absolute relaxation in a 2-Bedroom Cabin with a full bath and three double beds, some are available with kitchenettes. Your location in the Grand Tetons also boasts several family activities, including guided tours, water sports, horse back riding and two amazing restaurants.
WATER PARK ADMISSION includes an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, hot tubs (both inside and outside), three whirlpools and a vapor cave. Your kids will thank you for the opportunity to expend some of their energy, while you relax in the healing waters of mineral hot springs spas. Both are located only a walk away from your hotel.
ONE NIGHT at an impressive and immense historic hotel right next to Old Faithful. Your lodging here is one of the largest log buildings in the world and features an 80-foot tall lobby, huge roughstone fireplace, overhanging balconies and railings made of spectacular twisted, gnarled logs. All rooms blend rustic history with elegant renovation. Your first step into the lodge is sure to take your breath away.
PROFESSIONAL RODEO in the "Rodeo Capital of the World!" Experience a truly Western event that has its roots in ranch contests and games as well as spectacle and drama borrowed from the world famous Wild West shows produced by Col. William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody. You'll want sit in the Buzzard Roost seating right above the bucking chutes to see the most action.
ONE NIGHT at the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park, situated on the banks of the Yellowstone River with spectacular mountain and river views. Wildlife viewing from the property is commonplace. Located in a small resort town that is more down-to-earth and less commercialized than other stops around the park. Often referred to as the "Elk Capital of the World" with a large population of elk sharing the town with its human population for much of the year. Relax and enjoy fine dining in the on-site restaurant, retire in the cozy lounge and casino or take a dip in the indoor pool or hot tub. Your room here will have 2 Queen beds, a sofa sleeper and spectacular mountain views.
WHITE WATER RAFTING down the longest free-flowing river in the lower 48 states, the Yellowstone River. It emerges high in the mountains of Yellowstone National Park and traverses north through the pristine Paradise Valley then meanders some 600 miles before joining the Missouri River in North Dakota. It forms notable landmarks such as Yellowstone Lake and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone as it flows through Yellowstone National Park. The whitewater stretch of the Yellowstone River, drops rapidly past steep rock cliffs and through various natural features that create the perfect whitewater segment. This trip is truly an exhilarating way to see the area and also have some fun. It is a recommended activity for all ages (4-100!)
