TWO NIGHTS at the Hot Springs State Park, which is located only minutes away from your adventure with dinosaurs and next door to a huge water slide. This hotel also boasts balcony rooms overlooking a mineral hot springs pool. You can relax, soak and steam in the hot mineral waters and enjoy a short and colorful walk to the main source of the springs. Continental breakfast, a friendly staff and beautifully appointed western rooms welcome you to a Wyoming paradise often missed by most tourists.
DINOSAUR DIG included in your package, is known for some of the largest dinosaur fossil quarries in the world, these fossil-bearing beds overlook the picturesque red hills at the northern end of the Wind River Canyon. Discover, collect, and document Jurassic fossils with paleo-technicians as they uncover dinosaurs such as Allosaurus, Apatosaurus, Camarasaurus and Diplodocus. As a participant, you help with current scientific research designed to provide valuable information about the environment in which dinosaurs lived about 145 million years ago. You gain hands-on experience at current sites and participate in fossil stabilization and excavation, quarry mapping, and documentation. All activities are designed to assist in current scientific research projects. Experienced staff are on hand to answer questions and provide assistance. A sack lunch will be provided, as will all the materials needed. You will also be treated to a tour through the museum and the opportunity to clean and prepare bones evacuated from your site.
ONE NIGHT located in the heart of Paradise Valley, just north of Yellowstone National Park - and nestled in the foothills of the breathtaking Absaroka Mountain Range. YELLOWSTONE LAKE CRUISE departing only minutes from your cabin this hour long cruise on Yellowstone Lake is the optimal way to see the setting sun across crystal clear waters. While on the water, passengers are treated to the history of the area while watching for eagles, ospreys and such shoreline wanderers as waterfowl, and occasional elk and bison. You can stay on the island, hike or have lunch and catch another boat back to the Marina when you are ready. Stevenson Island is one of our favorite hiking destinations and combines tranquil beauty with plenty of wildlife.
TWO NIGHTS situated on a bluff with spectacular views across the water to the skyline of the Tetons. Your guest cottage is located near the lodge where you should be able to view moose throughout the day. The upper lobby features 60 foot picture windows framing the Teton Mountain range as well as a collection of Native American artifacts and Western art. Meals are memorable in the Dining Room with its Rocky Mountain cuisine and breathtaking panoramic Teton views. The Cocktail Lounge features live entertainment, your favorite beverage and snack along with spectacular views. In keeping with the National Park location, rooms do not have televisions or radios, but do have telephones, voicemail and data ports.
